I'm not sure if I got this pattern from a book--or I may possibly have come up with it on my own. You're all familiar with the "Bounce" pattern...usually applies to a horse that wins while posting his highest speed rating. His next race he's not usually a good bet. It's not foolproof, but I've found much merit to that premise.
Well...what about a horse that posts his highest SR--but doesn't win? I applied basic handicapping rules (back in 35 days--same or lower class--decent connections, min ML) and found it to be a useful spot-play. As are most of my plays--works best at the lower claimers
